- invites local organizations to apply for larger gifts,
- increases emphasis on our mission of “advancing the status of women,” and
- provides for greater accountability with regard to how the funds are used.
SCV Youth Project - funds for the "Girls' Issues Group" for teenage girls, and the "Family Issues Group," a bilingual support group to help cope with family problems
Single Mothers' Outreach - funding to set up "The
Marketplace" - a web-based program to support
single mothers enrolled in their
programs.
The Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita - funding to improve child care facilities for children of mothers attending programs at the center
Foundation for Children's Dental Health
- funding to
enhance elementary school education programs;
and provide outreach to low income women and
pregnant teens.
