The Jane M. Klausman Scholarship for Women in Business

Jane M. Klausman was a professional secretary, parliamentarian and entrepreneur. She knew the challenges faced by women pursuing careers in business and understood the importance of helping women become business leaders.
Jane M. Klausman Scholarships work to support women who demonstrate outstanding potential in business-related fields.
Applicants apply to their local Zonta Club. Club winners progress to District Level, then to International Level. Twelve women will be chosen to receive the $5,000 Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships.
The scholarships may be used at any college, university, or institution for the third or fourth year of study in an accredited program which will result in a business-related degree.
Our club was thrilled when our local 2010 JMK scholarship winner went on to win both the District and International awards!

Linda, completing her final semester at Master's College, plans to return to her native Uganda and establish a financial literacy center to build curricula and teach children, youth, and adults the techniques and ethics of sound financial management.Application deadline for the 2011 Scholarships is April 9, 2012.
