Information about Who We Are!
The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is dedicated to improving women's lives through Service, Advocacy, & Awareness.
The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a member of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization of professional women. Due to our rich history of philanthropic work around the world, Zonta International is recognized by the United Nations with consultative status. We are 33,000 strong in 1,200 clubs in 67 countries and our mission of “advancing the status of women” encompasses a broad range of local service throughout the Zonta “world.”
International Service
Zonta International, in partnership with the United Nations and other respected international institutions, supports service projects that have the potential to make great impact and that can be sustained through local efforts. Zonta financial and program support provide the “seeds” that grow and blossom into efforts that directly advance the status of women.

Zonta International service projects for 2010-2012 include:
- Ending Burns Violence Against Women in Cambodia, Nepal and Uganda
- Security and empowerment for Women and their families in Haiti
- Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV in Rwanda
- Safe Cities for Women in Guatemala and El Salvador
- Elimination of Obstetric Fistula in Liberia.
Local Service
Locally, the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is a dynamic organization of more than 70 members. Founded thirty-six years ago, this group represents the core of community volunteers in the Santa Clarita Valley. A glance through the roster of board members and committee chairs of local non-profits service organizations will show Zonta members in key capacities in every area.
We put our time and our money toward efforts that build our valley’s capacity for service while advancing the status of women locally and worldwide.
