ADVOCACY SERVICE UPDATE

The work of the Advocacy Committee is at the heart of Zonta SCV. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, they are finding ways to be of service to the community driven by our mission. The courts are reopened, so Court Advocacy has begun again.

The Red Dress Project, which brings local awareness to domestic violence in our valley, is being reimagined for November.

Finally, Zonta SCV is working with local organizations that strive to combat human trafficking. Our members are gathering items needed for short-term use by young women. The items are then loaded into backpacks and will be presented to girls who have been rescued and are now survivors. The items bring comfort to them as they begin the next stage safely in their journey to freedom and independence.
