Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley Shines on the District 9 Board!
The District 9 Conference was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from October 16–19, 2025. Our club was proudly represented by six members: Past International President (PIP) Sharon Langenbeck, Lt. Governor Nicole Miller, Club President and Delegate Cherise 
Moore, Club Board Member and Delegate Mary Shippy, Club Board Member and Alternate Lois Bauccio, and Club Member and Alternate Felicia Breland.
It was an inspiring and productive conference where important Zonta business was handled, new friendships were formed, and the 2026–2028 District 9 Board was elected. I am thrilled to share that Lt. Governor Nicole Miller was duly elected on Saturday, October 18, 2025, as the District 9 Governor-Elect! She, along with all members of the 2026–2028 District 9 Board-Elect, were installed that evening during the Governor’s Gala.

As you see, the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley will be well represented on the District 9 Board!! Please join me in celebrating and congratulating our newly elected District 9 Board Members!
On Sunday, following the official Closing of the Conference and the retiring of the flags, both the current and newly elected District 9 Boards came together for a transition meeting to connect and plan for the year ahead. The 2026-2028 District 9 Board will officially begin serving in their District leadership roles on July 15, 2026, following the conclusion of the Zonta International Convention in Vancouver, Canada.
